How do I care for my Jackfruit pieces?
To extend the life of our underwear for as long as possible, hand wash them with eco detergents (never harsh detergents or bleach) in cold water. Don't rub or wring them out. You can put them into a folded towel and press down with your body weight to absorb excess moisture so they dry faster!
The next best option is to wash them on the delicate cycle of your machine (in cold water) either in a lingerie bag or with no other clothing with zippers etc. Always wash with like colours and ideally don't tumble dry. If you absolutely must, please use a cool-warm setting, never hot.
Drying in the shade will preserve the colours, especially when we're talking Aussie summer heat.
It's normal for a few threads to come loose over time. Trim these carefully, - never pull at them - and if it's happening a lot consider switching to a gentler washing method.
Why did you choose the name Jackfruit?
Jackfruit the label is named after the jackfruit, a tropical fruit native to South East Asia. They can be large or small, round, short, long, or lumpy. At any size and at any stage they are delicious and versatile – they can be enjoyed ripe or unripe, sweet or savoury - and we thought this was a nice metaphor for the inclusivity and body positivity that are at the core of how we envision our label.
