Back to School: an update

Hi fam, 

You may have noticed that I've temporarily marked everything as sold out. This is because at the beginning of 2022 I went back to school to fill in some gaps in my knowledge. It's something I'd thought about doing for a few years and I decided that I wanted to follow through with it before taking the next steps with Jackfruit.

For the first half of this year I was studying full time and working full time in the business and - unsurprisingly in hindsight (and with the newfound knowledge of my neurodivergence) - this wasn't sustainable. I talk a lot about sustainability in terms of environmental impact, but it became clear that I needed to apply that lens to my own life too.

I never want to let any of my customers down, yet I found myself unable to get orders out on time and complete my course work while also functioning as a human being. The fact that Jackfruit is successful enough to keep me so busy is something I'm grateful for every day, and it's important for me to do everything that I do intentionally, and to the best of my abilities, so it was an easy decision for me to prioritise my studies temporarily.

Basically, I want to make awesome things that you will love, and the more skills I have to do that, the better. All this being said, I'm still taking orders! All you need to do is email me your order request and I'll send you a link to check out. This means that those who really want to order now can, and having to take that extra step temporarily will slow orders down to a manageable level. 

Also, because I adore you all and I'm trying to make Jackfruit more me now that I'm a one woman show, I'll be sharing more from behind the scenes as time goes on (including some of the cool things I'm learning and working on that aren't directly Jackfruit related). There's going to be a shift in branding and imagery, and new items available, but the core Jackfruit values have not changed.
